What is the Imperial Good Food Lunch Club?
Imperial Good Food Lunch Club is a once a week Lunch Club for seniors or any one a little younger if they have a disability. It is located in the Imperial Rooms in Matlock. This is a central location near the Bus Station and Taxi rank. We offer a home cooked meal so everyone can meet old friends (and make new ones) do a bit of shopping and have a good chin wag. Most people find they know everyone anyway sometimes they were at school together and have not seen each other for 50 years or so!
Our food is always freshly made locally so any one, who perhaps does not bother to cook hot meals for themselves on a regular basis, can have a traditional meal they will enjoy. People start to arrive from 11.45 and Lunch is served approximately half an hour later. We try to keep the cost of the meals as low as is viable so it doesn’t “break the bank”! Our main aim is to get people to meet and have some friends, new and old, especially as we realise some people don’t see anyone to talk to for days if they are on their own. We always love to see new members but ask if you could ring one of us beforehand so we have enough food for everyone.
